A brief look at the pedigree of Diamond Felon, the winner of nine races and from the great family of broodbitch star Asterix, a branch of the Wheeler family’s Gail’s Beauty damline, will prove that.

Diamond Felon is bred on four distinct and highly proven “nicks” and crosses.

The first is that between Fernando Bale and My Bro Fabio.

Fabio’s sire Turanza Bale is a virtual brother to Fernando’s dam Chloe Allen. They are both by Primo Uno and both have Head Honcho close up in their damline, and of course both trace to the Gail’s Beauty damline.

There are many examples of the Fernando Bale/My Bro Fabio cross working to Group level.

Next, Diamond Felon has the hugely successful Fernando Bale/Fabregas cross.

This is the proven cross of Chloe Allen and Fabregas, both of who come from the Black Shiraz sirelines and both of who have Awesome Assassin and Head Honcho in their immediate dams.

This too is proven often to G1 level.

Then there is the Fernando Bale/Collision cross, and this is also proven often to G1 level.

Diamond Felon’s dam won four races from 41 starts.

But, she came from a litter that had eight named offspring and all of them were winners.

Diamond Delight won 17 races and $32,000, Diamond Crusade won nine and $34,000, Diamond Harmony won 19 and $37,000 and Diamond Warrior won 12 and 46,000.

The Asterix branch of the Gail’s Beauty family has been responsible for such stars as Kanzan, Cawbourne Brick, Cawbourne Krusty etc.
