"SHE" of course is the glamour girl of world greyhound racing, She's A Pearl, and Ray certainly has an interest seeing today's version of Highly Blessed.

That's because Ray's former superstar sprinter, and now leading stud dog Aston Dee Bee is the sire of She's A Pearl, whose dam is the Jagger Swagger-Oh So Sweet bitch Shez Impetuous.

Those of us who have been around "a while" will remember Highly Blessed (Chariot Supreme-Wee Sal) as the superstar of her time winner of the Golden Easter Egg, Melbourne Cup, Adelaide Cup, XXXX Trophy, Shepparton Cup, Gold Collar. She was everything.

While Ray Borda might be a tad biased when looking at the deeds of the Jodie and Andy Lord-trained She's A Pearl, he is pretty close to the mark when describing her in such glowing terms.

The pedigree make-up of She's A Pearl is interesting to say the least.

Her mother Shez Impetuous won seven races and $15,000 winning at Launceston, Hobart, Devonport, Warragul and Sale. Her litter included Over Indulgence (13 wins, $36,000) and Ready To Mingle (9 wins, $23,000) etc.

Shez Impetuous' first litter, by US track star Superior Product, had Darwin galloper Saint Wallace (7 wins, $10,000) as the standout.

Her mother, Oh So Sweet (Brett Lee-Sweet Fancy) was a Wenty and Sandown winner and has produced Egomaniacal (3rd G1 NZ Waterloo Cup).

Oh So Sweet was a litter sister to Group stars Fancy Amigo, Fancy Dasher, Fancy Jill, Fancy Liza, Mucho Caliente and a bitch called Pretty Fancy an unraced bitch who became the mother of superstar Striker Light (by KC And All).

Third dam, Sweet Fancy (Collision-Miss Fancy) won the Richmond Oaks. She is also the mother of Fancy Dean and Fancy Will.

They all trace back to Gay's Fancy (West Cape-Fancy You) a multiple Group finalist who has founded a racetrack dynasty. Those who love analysing a pedigree should take great notice of what is in Gay's Fancy. She is in-bred to Temlee and his sister Viola Lee, and the half sisters Bonnie Secret and Academy Lass both of them out of broodbitch great Secretly.

Gay's Fancy traces WAY back to Lady Janellen the mother of legends Rookie Rebel and Sunview.

She's A Pearl carries the proven cross of Bombastic Shiraz (damsire of Aston Dee Bee) with the Jagger Swagger damline, that of Frosty Fruits and Wenty distance track record breaker Reckless Abandon.

Her mother Shez Impetuous is in-bred 3x3 to Collision in a powerful position that is generally dominant for MALES in a litter. Interesting that the best in the litter was the MALE Over Indulgence.

The 5x5 Malawi's Prince/Wee Sal in She's A Pearl's pedigree is strong.

The 5x3 balance of Brett Lee the same.

It has proven to be a wonderful mating with three Group 1 class performers.

Interesting too is the fact the total outcross mating to Superior Product has produced very little in total contrast.

She's A Pearl now has a few bucks to go to head Fanta Bale as the world's greatest stakes earner.
