Pindari Express
RECENT track record equalling runs and an Oaks victory by an unbeaten youngster give an insight into some interesting pedigree design in the past week.
Pindari Express highlighted the future stud career of his older have brother Ando's Mac when he equalled the 400m track record at Bulli with a 22.18 victory.
Pindari Express is by Fabregas-Brook's Doll by Collision.
Vista King continued his wonderful career with a scorching 29.19 at The Gardens to equal Smart Missile's record for the 515m.
He is by Spring Gun-Go Ginger Go by Collision.
And, over in WA, Starlight Yoyo kept her record intact when winning the Mandurah Oaks against a smart line-up of bitches.
The daughter of Fernando Bale-Starlight Delly by Bombastic Shiraz has now started four times for as many wins for the Paul Stuart kennel.
The trio all have very interesting pedigrees well worth a "look see".
Pindari Express has a very in-bred pedigree and one that is proven time and time again.
His dam Brook's Doll is proven to the ultimate level. Her son Ando's Mac (El Grand Senor-Brook's Doll) is a multiple Group winner of the G1 Melbourne Cup, G1 Vic Peters and G2 Warragul Cup. He was third in the G1 Winter Cup, G2 Geelong Cup, G2 Gosford Cup and a finalist in the G1 Topgun, G2 Maitland Cup, G3 The Ambrosoli, G2 Shepparton Cup and G3 Healesville Cup.
This is a very strong female family.
Putting Brook's Doll to Fabregas was a recipe for success even before Brook's Doll produced a multiple G1 winning son. Her mother Monique's Doll is by Big Daddy Cool and from a daughter of Token Prince.
Fabregas' star son No Donuts has a dam bred exactly the same. And recent G2 Qld Futurity winner She's Gifted is bred the same.
But, Collision (sire of Brook's Doll) is starting to do very well with Fabregas. That's because they are bred on a reverse cross of Malawi's Prince and Awesome Assassin.
Way back in the pedigree of Pindari Express is a cross of the genetic relations Riviera Tiger (Temlee-Riviera Moss), Zimbabwe and Chief Dingaan (Temlee-Zulu Moss).
Riviera Moss and Zulu Moss are the famous litter sisters.
Pindari Express' time at Bulli was lengths and lengths ahead of that recorded on the same night by Sleek Master the winner of 26 races and $102,000.
VISTA King has won numerous races in Victoria and NSW so a track record equalling run at The Gardens was never beyond him.
From 81 starts he has won 18 and been placed 22 times. His litter brother Spring Sam is just as prolific over in NZ where he has started 135 times for 17 wins and 40 placings.
This is the famed direct damline of National Lass coming through her daughter National Dingaan down to G1 Paws winner Leprechaun Pace and finally to Go Ginger Go (dam of Vista King) a sister to Group stars Red Road and Boyce Road.
Go Ginger Go was a Meadows and Wentworth Park winner herself.
The pedigree of Vista King is great.
It brings in a 3x4 cross of the half brothers Big Daddy Cool and Brett Lee, and a 4x3 link between similarly bred Token Prince and Rumble Spirit (the same cross found in the pedigree of Pindari Express' granddam).
Vista King's sire Spring Gun is balanced to Malawi's Prince (through daughter and son) so he is able to mate bitches with further crosses of Malawi's Prince via either sex.
This is what is achieved in the pedigree of Vista King.
OVER in WA, Paul Stuart's wonderful producer Starlight Delly continues to toss up high class race dogs, her daughter Starlight Yoyo's victory in the Mandurah oaks yet another example of this.
Her litter to Kinloch Brae was wonderful and included a number of Group 1 performers.
Starlight Delly (Bombastic Shiraz-Winsome Bluebird) is, of course, a Group class racetrack performer but more importantly a litter sister to legend Miata.
With Stuart's close connection to the Wheeler kennel, Starlight Delly was always going to be mated to Fernando Bale and it was a perfect match for sure.
That's because Chloe Allen (dam of Fernando Bale) is bred on an identical Black Shiraz/Awesome Assassin/Wheeler damline cross and with the litter brothers Walkabout Sid and West Cape tossed in for good measure.
Those of you who are interested in such things will already have noticed that Fernando Bale's recipe for success is to hugely in-breed his offspring.
This can be done via more and more Wheeler damline (the line through to Gail's Beauty) or to saturate the offspring with the direct bloodlines of Fernando's dam Chloe Allen.
Just about EVERY decent Fernando Bale is bred this way.
Littermates Leisel Monelli (3rd in the Oaks) and Petria Monelli are by Fernando Bale-Sharon Monelli.
They too are saturated with the same bloodlines on both sides of their pedigree ... Head Honcho, Riviera Tiger, Zimbabwe and Chief Dingaan (see Vista King) and a double of hugely in-bred Slaneyside Hare.
Interesting too is that Cropduster (KC And All-Sialla) was fourth in the Oaks. Her dam is a half sister to Starlight Delly. This is also the direct damline of Quids In (another Oaks finalist).
AND, Raw Luxury (Fernando Bale-Sober) was also an Oaks finalist. Her pedigree is yet another example of the powerful in-breeding needed to make Fernando a success at stud.
Raw Luxury's pedigree contains line breeding to the litter brothers Black Shiraz and Big Ginger Boy (balanced via son and daughter respectively), a double of Head Honcho, and again a double of Slaneyside Hare.
The only other two in the Oaks final?
Runner-up Poppy Monelli and Azalea Monelli are littermates by Fabregas-Jackie Bale. Their pedigree shows a 3x3 of the famous half brothers Larkhill Jo and Sonic Flight. Jackie Bale is from the same damline as Bekim Bale, Irma Bale and Heston Bale.
It is why I recommend Bekim Bale and Heston bale bitches should be tested with Fabregas at stud.
